Not for Profit

In life, we all have our realities, many in their day to day life would go to their corporate life to gain and earn more, to reach their aspiration and goal, to have something out of the work that they do, there is nothing wrong with that, as a matter of fact, work is a blessing in so many way, you earn, you grow, your aspiration brings you to your dreams and desire.

But not everyone is called for such, there are many who seek relevance in the world, to make more impact to the lives of others, to live is generosity and abundance of God, and to live with the fact that God will provide.

Many of the workers of non government organization, foundation, or mission oriented groups have devoted their time, talent and treasure in their desire to bring change not only into the world, but to the many people we and they encounter everyday, seeking and living life to its fullest where the reward is not earthly but heavenly.

But what are blessing, joy and satisfaction of working for a non profit org just like Project Luke Foundation?

1. Unpredictable Hours - We work not based on the usual 8 - 5, but we work for as long as there is work that has to be done!

2.Budgets that are often not even adequate much less luxurious. -  Efficient use of every peso is typical of nonprofit work, this i guess is where faith and love for the work comes in.

3. Reaching agreement within a group - non profit depend much more on consensus to reach a decision. This is something really wonderful with NGOs. Working with volunteers who share the passion for the work and not passion for money for self gain and satisfaction.

4. Dealing with multiple audience - As a worker of a non profit, we engage with variety of people, this expands our perspective and maturity. We are not limited. We are unlimited.

5. Wearing Multiple hats - Multi tasking is a standard for non profit, we share and lend hand to whoever is of need. We open our doors of helping and reaching out and we share gifts and competencies.

The reward of working for the mission and non profit is beyond our earthly desire. Our reward is invested in heaven, our assurance is knowing that we have a God who is in full control, the great promise keeper and the source of all hopes and mercy.

Our response is gratitude and perseverance, patience and faithfulness, giving without expecting.
